Paul contrasts humanity’s former alienation from God with the believer’s present reconciliation through Jesus. Christ’s death provides complete reconciliation, presenting believers holy and blameless before God. Paul then urges them to remain grounded and settled in the hope of the gospel, unmoved by teachings that contradict its truth.
